Kara's early life began loving all things creative - from finger painting and making things with egg boxes onwards! This led her to complete a degree in 3D Design in Ceramics and Glass (once she was grown up, that is). Not convinced she wanted to spend life as Beatrix Potter, she threw herself into the world of work - originally in print production - before stumbling across recruitment for the design industry. She joined Adrem as a young, enthusiastic junior desperate for exciting challenges. Specialising in placing support staff in creative environments, she soon proved herself and built up her division, heading up a team who Kara recruited and trained herself. After nearly 7 years there, though, she decided to fly the nest and take on a new challenge and joined the lovely team at Gabriele Skelton in July 2010.
Kara recruits all levels of staff who support those busy creatives from Studio and Traffic Managers to Production, Secretarial, HR and Office Managers, Studio Assistants/Coordinators, Receptionists, Marketing Assistants, and everything else in between! She is very much a people person and takes pride in getting to know her candidates and clients and finding them perfect matches! She handles all permanent, freelance and temp roles.
She is often glimpsed whizzing around town on her moped (so watch out all car drivers and cyclists!!) or with a glass of wine in her hand - never at the same time, though, naturally!
