Strategist and Planner - product, packaging and innovation agency, London, £50k

Location: London
Salary: Up to £50k

Wicked opportunity for a planner or strategist, with at least 5 years experience within marketing or design, to work for an internationally renowned product, packaging (2D & 3D) and innovation consultancy. This acclaimed agency works across design innovation, from research and strategy formulation to product development and packaging design.

The planner or strategist would work closely with a team of researchers/strategists and visual planners.

As a planner/strategist for this product, packaging and innovation agency, you should have experience to demonstrate several projects where you have led the repositioning and/or clarification of a brand and its subsequent repositioning via pack graphics (structural development an advantage also). A natural feel for design in general, brand literate and genuinely interested in products/automotive/packaging as well as consumer and fmcg. The planner/strategist might have a background in design but moved over to a planning role… conventionality doesn't count here, it's what you can do!!

Other key skills needed for the planner/strategist:

+ Ability to swiftly understand the concepts and language of a new subject area

+ Track and monitor social, cultural, design and technology trends for use in live projectsâ€"

+ Provide useful generalisations, insights and conclusions to feed into the design process

+ Write clear and concise briefing documents. Good writing skills essential!

+ Familiar with a range of research and analytical methodologies and know how to apply them

+ Evaluation of the credibility of sources

+ Analyse numerical data and produce graphs

+ Project management - ability to write proposals, creative briefs and strategic approach to design, at times be key client contact

+ Multi-tasker! There will always be multiple projects on the go!

+ A genuine team player - this agency has the highest standards but they have fun too!
